Venus Antiqua: Brassempouy is a contemporary sculptural interpretation of one of the most exceptional Paleolithic female figurines — the fragmentary head known as the Venus of Brassempouy.

The original figure, discovered in France and dated to approximately 25,000 BCE, is considered one of the earliest known representations of a human face. Unlike other Paleolithic Venus figures, this object focuses not on the body, but on facial structure, surface rhythm, and presence.

This necklace is conceived as a small sculptural object worn close to the body.
It is not a replica of the archaeological artifact, but an original form inspired by its geometry, surface rhythm, and fragmentary nature.

The form is intentionally restrained.
Focused and intimate, it invites attention to detail and structure rather than complete figurative narrative.

Each piece is handcrafted with careful attention to proportion, scale, and balance, preserving the clarity of the object while adapting it for contemporary wear.

Materials & Variations

The necklace is available in two finish options:

  • Gold tone — jewelry bronze pendant on a surgical steel chain

The metallic surfaces subtly reflect light, emphasizing the sculptural precision and material presence of the form.
