Discover a piece of ancient history with this unique brooch!
This handcrafted brooch depicts a golden fly, modeled after the one found in the tomb of Queen Ahhotep I (pharaohs Kamose and Ahmose). In ancient Egypt, the fly symbolized perseverance and bravery, and golden flies were awarded as medals for military achievements. The original artifact was discovered in the Dra Abu el-Naga necropolis, Thebes, in 1859.
Made of jewelry bronze in gold and silver tones, this brooch is carefully crafted with a secure fastening, ensuring durability and comfort. Each piece is handmade and unique, created in my smoke-free and pet-free studio.
Size: approx. 3.5–4 × 2.5–3 cm
